On the powerboat side, friends had a 42' Marine Trader. That boat has
more than enough space for your purposes, yet it gives sailboat-like
economy when moving. We actually thought about buying that boat when
our friends put it up for sale, despite the problems we knew it had:
teak decks and other wood structures past the end of their useful life.
It also was a bit "rolly" in quartering seas. But that was a boat that
we could easily envision moving onto.
