Unfortunately, Moore is mostly spot-on with his critique of the U.S.
health care system. It's a mess.

Much better than the socialized health care systems, such as in Canada.

Take control of ridiculous lawsuits and jury awards and we can fix it.

I've said nothing about belief or disbelief. I was just interested in your
source and why the insurance was so expensive for a young person just out
of school.

Most likely they want a low deductible with a preimium carrier. That is
what drives up the cost. The "name" carriers are set up for large
groups, and their individual policies are outrageous.

I insure myself, (late 40's non smoker) cost is $150.00 a month.
That is with a 2k deductible. A $250.00 deduct would run me $650.00 a
month ( a 10k deduct. would run less than $100) With a HSA, I can save
the 2k a year pre tax. You can see it only takes a few months of no
claims to come out way ahead.
