There was some discussion recently about a wifi card for laptop.
I seem to get only minimal signal using my laptop (built in)
card.
I would like to install a removable card, with rangebooster, and
an
external antenna (that I can put outside temporarily).
I called staples on the island, and they have no clue what I am
talking about.
Any suggestions here?
thanks!!

Try it, you'll like it.

hmmm.. why would this not work for "land yachts"?
It works great for a land yacht. Just drive your car or van into a
neighborhood and hit the "scan" button on the software and you'll
find a bunch of unsecured wi-fi access points from people who don't
secure their home networks.
The antenna was originally called the RV wi-fi antenna and they
changed a few things and made it more waterproof and call in the
RV/Wave antenna. If you've got USB ports on your computer you're in
business. I'm sitting on my sailboat anchored about a half mile from
an access point and that's how this post got here.

What? Your Swan 68 doesn't have satellite internet?
I'm aboard my Allied Seawind 32, thank you. My Swan is over in the Med
right now.
