Believe me, it is well worth taking the small trouble involved in
installing one. When I go to sleep with the GPS anchor alarm set, I
know that should we move, either due to a change of wind (usually) or
the anchor dragging (very seldom), I shaqll be awoken with a loud
"barp, barp" etc. I find that I am instantly awake from a deep sleep
and on my feet, knowing exactly what the alarm means.

Before, I would sleep lightly unless in a quiet anchorage, fearful
that I wouldn't hear the cockpit GPS alarm.

I use to set the old Loran for anchor watch.
Now with the new GPS Chart Plotter installed in the cockpit I will not be
able to hear the anchor alarm from inside.
I wonder what would be the best way to solve this problem without having a
repeater inside the boat.
