Speaking of "up here". I am back on the boat and the weather is more
like Feb-March rather than May. Rainy and COLD!

Eisboch

Know what you mean. Almost froze while walking my dog out at York
Dedoubt
at the entrance to the harbour.

Has warmed up here. A nice 70's day. At least the wind has died down.

Mid 60's here and sunny. Mid 70's and sunny tomorrow. I should be able
to
get the boat in the water tomorrow.

This reminds me of a Spring about two/three years ago.

Nasty rotten New England late fall weather right up until July.

Sure does shorten the boating season.
Drove past two local yacht clubs and one marina on the way to the old fort.
Although the yard staff were busy launching, the vast majority of the boats
were still snug on their cradles. This long weekend (Victoria Day) is
supposed to be the official start of boating season around here.
