Default Even worse day for Sloco!

Say what??? Are you saying that a Porsche GT3 or Turbo is slower and
less-quick than an Evo. How about a Dodge Viper, Saleen S7, or
Corvette
ZO6? I think even a BMW M3 (07) or an M5 (06) will dust your Evo or
WRX.

Max, while there are some seriously fast supercars, the Japanese have
matched them with cars like the STI and Evo, two cars that pull true
super-car numbers.

Dream on, Bubbles. They are fast, but nowhere near supercar figures.

An M5 won't dust an EVO.

It would be interesting to see. The BMW factory got around 4 sec. 0-60s and
sub 12s in the quarter with one. No stock Evo will do that.

Still worse for a car like
the M5, cheap mods bring cars like the STI and Evo into a world of
speed that the M5 usually never sees.

The M5 doesn't need it, with over 500 bhp to begin with, not to mention
better engineering and construction quality than a Mitsu or Subu can ever
dream of.

A stock EVO can pull 4.3 seconds
in 0-60 and do the quarter in 13 or less.

See above. M5 already tops that. With mods, albeit expensive ones, the car
will produce over 600 bhp.

Handling is true rally ready
level. The M5 is beautiful, the quality an experience all it's own.
But for shear driving enthusiasts you don't need an M5 any more. In
fact, when Nissan landed with the revised 300ZX twin turbo, it was
over then. Or for another good example, my Speed6 does just about
everything better than an Audi S4.

Except maintain its resale value. g

BTW, I tried to do a Lotus Elise, but I'm too tall. I consider it the
most amazing super-car built today for the money.

It's not a supercar at all. But it is probably the best handling car you
can buy for under $100K. The Exige I have on order is a sport
version--read: lighter and suspended more for the track. It will probably
see as much track mileage as road time. I don't have time for an SCCA
campaign, but I can do the occasional track day.
