Can anyone tell me if there is a slang term or "nickname" for people
who canoe/kayak? Canoeist and kayaker sound kinda stuffy. Thanks!

Boaters, paddlers, river gypsies, and "one armed bandits" or
"handicapped boaters" for the canoeists... ;-)
