Default trim limit / upswitch

Ya..... limit switches are no longer used anyway.......up and down will
suffice.

Sounds like you figured out that shorting the wires lets the trim switch
work. The older versions of these can be disassembled. I replaced the

wire
on mine and it's worked for 5 years now.

Hi, so the wires to my trim limit have pulled and rotted out
(shocking). I went the last half of the season carefully trimming
with my trailor switch because with the limit wires out my upswitch
will not work (correct?). My question is this, if I connect the two
wires that went into the limit switch and close the circuit, should my
upswitch on the throttle work again or is there something in the limit
switch that makes it all happen? I can feel my way around and live
without the limit aspect of things, but I need the up thumb button to
work so my hand is not flying from throttle down to my trailor
switch. Thanks

Got it to work.
