Yeah, it's nice but way over priced for most folks.
Probably the coolest function is the ability to download long range
weather models called "grib" files from your SSB radio, and then turn
those into optimal sailing routes based on wind speed, wind angle and
your individual boat's sailing characteristics (polar diagrams).
Everything else can be done just as well, and a whole lot cheaper,
using other software.
I thought it was neat stuff.I'm sure it could be bought cheaper in
pieces elsewhere, but the functionality was incredible.
Even a nimrod like me could use it without much instruction.
