Be sure to check with the Charleston county tax office before you do
that. You may be exempt for one reason or another but I would assume

Wow, sure glad I don't live in SC! Taxes on a
$150K boat would be $15,750 per year or somewhere
around $1300 per month. That is pretty high
"rent" to pay to the state after paying for the
boat too.

Why haven't you SC folks revolted yet? It's time
to seriously consider it.
