Perhaps you have a potty mind? Perhaps you haven't come across the
word anywhere except a partition in a bathroom stall?
And perhaps you are acting like a jerk.
Works like this JimH:
Don't make snarky remarks about me in conversations where I'm not
involved and you'll find I have a lot more important things to do than
go hunting for the
handful of insult specialists that infect the NG. Live and let live.
You'll need to look long and hard for any rare examples of me dropping
your name, Harry's name, Tom's name or the name of anybody else in
threads they aren't involved in- especially in a critical way. I
almost never do it, and expect the same consideration in return.
Tom would have been disappointed if he thought I hadn't noticed the
mudball he
so deliberately prepared. He hoped to provoke a response, and did.
It's amazing that anybody thinks responding with "Any particular
reason you think you need to be a confrontational prick?" is an
egregious breach of etiquette, yet the original unprovoked personal
remark is
considered entirely acceptable.
You and Harry (who dislikes my choice of dictionary) can go to
whatever dictionaries you prefer and look up "double standard". :-)
There's no "perhaps" about it.
