and have to drive nearly 70 miles just to use your boat in a *lake*. Ich.

Again, proving yourself a dolt. Atlanta is a great place to live. Ever
wonder why it is such a metropolis? World class theater, world class
restaurants, great music scene, I can be in the mountains in one hour,
at the beach in 3.5. Can you? We are surrounded by bass fisheries that
most people dream of. You must remember, I lived in FL for 15 years,
and it was purely my choice to move here. I like variety, and I got so
sick of being surrounded by either old people waiting to die, or
swampbillies. Only occasionally do you run into someone with any
sense. It's flat and ugly. The local governments act like Nazis, and
want to control every aspect of your life.

All in all, the best decision I ever made was getting to hell out of
Florida. I do sometimes miss the Gulf, but not as much as you'd
expect. I love to bass fish in lakes surrounded by mountains. I do
like parts of Florida that is still inhabited by "natives", and places
that aren't destroyed by subdivisions with Bermuda lawns, and pretty
pastel houses all in a row....how ugly.
