And then call your friends (if you have any) in Detroit and ask them how
they're enjoying "global warming". *Don't worry about not reaching them -
they'll be at home because the Tigers are SNOWED out.

A couple of observations;

We need to be careful that we don't confuse climate and weather. They
are two different concepts.

If we are seeing a greater amount of weird weather than normal ("if")-
that could be an indicator of warming even if the weird weather in the
winter or early spring is colder than normal temperatures.

How so? It's the general warming of the earth, and most particularly
the warming of the poles, that is the problem. A rise of several
degrees in temperature at the poles will somewhat disrupt the currents
of air and ocean water that travel from the poles toward the tropics
and back due to the simple physics that warm air (and warm water)
rises and cold air and cold water falls.
As winds and currents shift, weather becomes more unpredictable.

Pointing out freaky weather conditions around the country actually
supports the theory you oppose, and I just thought you might like to
consider that factor.
I know, Rush loves to get on the radio and talk about the coldest part
of the country on a particlar day and crow that a cold spot here or
there must mean that the average temperature of the planet cannot be
rising. The shameful thing is, I suspect that Rush actually knows
better. He's merely toying with his gullible audience.

What sort of boat does a male prostitute own, Fred? Why not post
something more directly related to boating once in a while?
