Divorce in progress, bumped into this place, don't believe in
coincidences anymore. Can purchase a slip directly across the street in
the background, giving it serious thought. It's a little bit further to
open water than my old marina, but the idea of having my boat about 100
feet away is very appealing.

Sorry to hear of the divorce. It may be the best thing for you at this
point, but it's still a damn shame to see what was once a good and
promising love (and it must have been, if you married her) go so far
astray that you don't even want it back. I hope that things go as
smoothly for you as they can.

As for the new place, it looks nice & 100' from the boat sounds like
fun. But don't be seduced by trying to show off for revenge. Keep an
eye on the long term.

Sincere best wishes to you, John

Naah, the soon to be x doesn't even know about it. I told her what I
wanted to do, that I had an offer on the place and it had been accepted.
She went back and forth about signing the 3 pieces of paper required by
the lender-most lenders in fact.A week before the closing she was still
waffling and I was at my wits end, the owners have a place in Venice,
Fla and they're ready to leave Mi. Had a flash of divine inspiration,
called the credit union and they said fine, we don't need her to sign
anything, they got me approved and all of the paperwork done in time for
the closing. AFAIK, she still doesn't know I'm here, she made the
helpful suggestion to have the home phone put in my name(she moved out
with the kid in mid-January), I did that and had the phone and Internet
moved to the new address. Wonder when she's going to find out? Would
love to see the look on her face when she does. This was an incredibly
sweet deal, it came completely furnished with some really nice nautical
artwork, all with local associations, everything, big ass flat screen tv
with home theater, truly amazing, all I had to do was bring my clothing
and food and the kitties-no dogs, thank you-and I was all set. Will post
up some pics of some of the artwork.

Kids won't tell her when you have them over?
