Hmmmm - does this qualify as a "boating" post? *It seems more like it
belongs in a newsgroup about seamen, shipping news or environmental
law news groups - not that I'm being parochial or anything.
I suppose that *under the guidelines authored by Chuck it would
because it tangentially is about water pollution which affects
everything from - well, everything.
However, it seems a little "fishy" to me - fishy in this instance
relating to boats as some of us fish from boats thus this query is
probably ok - then again, you never know.
I suppose the difference between the treatment of Muslim women and the
treatment of water is indistinguishable to a few.
Or even asking for donations for a charity.
Not that fund raising isn't important - it is. *However does that
belong on a boating newsgroup? *Or does it have to be a boating
related charity? *Would it have been better to email members of this
august body mentioning your admirable support of this charity? Did the
post belong here where, in theory, only boats and boating is supposed
to be discussed?
What applies to one should apply for the other - or is that too
complicated?
I don't know the rules as applied by Fearless Leader Chuck - they seem
somewhat arbitrary.- Hide quoted text -

Keep a sharp eye out, Tom.
You might notice that I seldom express an opinion on the harmless
clutter. Your daily clutter or that of others.
When anybody starts posting right wing or left wing political
proganada, that's well out of the yellow and into the red in my
personal opinion. You champion the right of anybody to post absolutely
anything at all here, and much to your dismay I post my opinion of cut
'n past political trolls. How ironic. :-)
I always assumed you were clever enough to see the difference between
harmless clutter and a blatant troll.
Despite your prostests to the contrary, I still don't think I'm wrong.
