Works fine - do it all the time.
Unless you need to unstick the anchor in which case you need to
manuever with your main engine.

Seem like I can use a bow-mounted electric trolling motor to assist in
retrieving an anchor. I can add this to one of the reason why I
should get an electric trolling motor.
No, I am not using it to unstuck an anchor. I simply use it to
position the boat at the correct angle relatively to the anchor (while
I am rolling up the anchor line); then I can pull the anchor up
relatively easily.
