Frankly, the trolling motor will probably be a lot easier to justify
than the boat itself. But for anchoring?.... that'd be kinda weak.
Seems to me there could be a better arguement that it'd just get in
the way.

I'm assuming we're talking about a bass boat here. Not a sailboat or
power cruiser. A trolling motor would look a bit silly on one of
those.

Anyhow, I vote you just go get the trolling motor if you'd like one.
Nobody... especially your wife.... is gonna go for the anchoring
thing.
