Default Cruis'n Rulz! Flooding Carb Resolved YAAAYYYYY!!!!

Wow! Congrats on a job well done. That hourly rate that the mechanic charges
doesn't seem too outrageous afterall, does it?

Enjoy it!

I just washed and waxed mine anticipating a splash this weekend.

Just completed replacing the fuel pump and started it on the muffs. Runs
perfect-just like the day I bought it. This project was a BITCH. I
fabricated new fuel pipes to match the originals and installed in the
original routing. Want to know how hard that was? Take a look at any
carbed Merc 5.0 or 5.7 w/ fuel/water separator. I got the FP from West
Marine, as I wanted a genuine Sierra OEM unit w/warranty, not some cheesy
knockoff. I estimate I have 8 hrs solid labor doing this. And, most of
that's hanging upside down in the engine bay. The whole installation has
to be done with mirrors, as the units are buried underneath the FWC and
MERC relay flange.
I am so glad (and relieved it was successful). My hands are cut-up, my
arms scratched and cut, and I ache ALL OVER from the contorting. This
problem has dogged me for 2 seasons, although I never actually launched
the boat. Now to make some brownies for a reward for job well done.
