Clean water committee? 60 tons of mercury were dumped into it every year for
how many years? Hopefully, your committee only discusses how to avoid making
it worse, because there's no way in hell you're going to clean it up.

Nor would I like to be splashing around in it, however I know many people
that have done so and have lived to tell about it.

I have rowed the lake in racing shells, driven in ski shows, worked on its
clean water committee, supplied pick-up boats for regattas and races and
participated in many events along its shores.

It is a tremendous local asset that has been badly misused. It is a
terrific lake for general boating and cruising. It isn't and most likely
will never be a mecca for water sports.

Good luck and good boating,
Jim

Try the lake? I know boats will float on it. But, I wouldn't want to be

Don't believe everything you read. Much of the "it's safe" information is
paid for.
