RIP=Rest in Peace, eh? Looks like you should follow your own advice.

He was basically a good man, and an actor manipulated by others in his
party. He suffered long. I wish him final peace, His record will speak
for itself as the future unfolds'

" The evil that men do lives after them; The good is oft interred with their
bones."
William Shakespeare

Once in a while, more often than not, Reagan could do a good job
delivering a speech someone else wrote. I had the privilege of hearing
him speak in person several times at Washington lunches and dinners, and
he did a good to excellent job with simple prepared remarks. In the
Q&As, he was a little better than Dubya is at extemporaneous speaking,
which is not saying much.

I was never a fan of Reagan, and not because of his politics, because
there are a few Republicans, even conservatives, of the last century I
do admire. He spent us into oblivion and left it to others to pay the
bills for his excesses.

He wasn't much of an inspiration for his children, none of whom, I
believe, finished college, and several of which have commented publicly
on his relationships with them. Of course, he had a rough childhood
himself. But I suppose that is neither here nor there. He did,
obviously, have a good relationship with his second wife, a great
relationship.

I simply never found much about Reagan as POTUS to admire.
