QUICKLY !!! PUT IT BACK COMPLETELY SUBMERSED IN THE WATER... The cleaner
the water the better... we have had outboards recovered years after
losing them overboard (rental boats) only to go right back out on rental
usually within a few hours of recovery.

Have the service people come to you if at all possible...
