Is that what's laid you low, Leukemia?

If I said yes, would you send them some money?

Only my prayers. They are worth more than money.

But not as reliable, unfortunately.

In any event, I don't want to perpetuate the misconception that I have
leukemia. However, a long time ago a person in my immediate family
died of it. But even if that had never happened, The Leukemia Society
is one of the best charity organizations around.

Does your faith require tithing? Does your church support any
charities? If you have bread and aren't willing to share it with the
hungry, then you don't deserve it yourself. That belief is basic to
most religions, but it seems to get lost for most people nowadays.

I belong to the Baptist Church. They claim to give every dime to charity
that's donated to charity causes directly through them. They take zero
for "administrative costs." I also tithe weekly to the church general
fund. But, since I only have about six grand a year income and tithing
is only on income it only amounts to about twenty bucks a week. It's the
least I can do.

The problem with Babtists is that they don't hold them under long enough.
