As others have said, these items do NOT replace the brackets and bunks
(the carpeted wooden slats), they are just arttached on top of the
carpet. Assuming your trailer's frame is solid, you need to buy new
bolt-on bunk brackets (galvanized), a couple of pressure treated 2x4s
and some fairly inexpensive exterior carpet. I replaced mine with 1
foot off the 12' long carpet roll from Home Depot. The carpet was like
$5. This will cover two 6 foot long bunks. The glides are useful for
getting heavy boats on and off the trailer since they reduce the
friction between the boat and the bunk's carpet. Your jon boat should
not need that as it is probably pretty light.
