Sure, just throw all the cusions, floats, ect below, don't top off
with fuel, pull the battery on the epirb then pull the cork way off
the coast. Tie yourself in for a deep ride.


If so... and if Mr. Gray was so motivated (ill health... etc..)
it's a plausable theory. But a difficult one to accept... in view
of what is known of him... or not as the case may be.

Show me his bank account, medical records, and insurance policy's and
I could tell you.

Which leads me to another line of thinking. Being such a stalwart
citizen and achiever... would he not have considered the ramifica-
tions of this type of action and how it would relate to his loved
ones... and the risk to SAR personnel? And therefore concluded
that this was not a viable alternative as a method to ending his
life?

Hence the nice weather, SAR needs to get out and practice. Leaving
that way may be more pleasent, and financially beneficial for all
around in some situations. He would never tell anyone IMO. You take
your own live you get no payout from the insurance company, if you are
lost at sea then momma and the kids are provided for.

Again, he's a smart man and can think things thru.

Hmmm... so many questions... and so few answers... though
Joe's... IMHO may have some merit.

Might be his keel fell off on that C&C and he went down like a rock.
From the C&C's I've seen go thru the yard here looks like all have
problems with the keels.
