Hello,

I am interested in opinions on the Yamaha SX 210 jet boat. I have
always had outboard boats in the past. I am interested in this boat
for family fun and slalom skiing. How is the hole shot? Is the wake
small? Does this boat handle well? Thanks in advance for any replies.

I looked at them recently during my own search for a bowrider.
Overall, they compare favorably with similar boats. Very innovative
layout, good fit and finish. The only negatives I could identify were
worse fuel economy and higher maintenance cost than comparable single
engine boats. I assume you are looking at the newer four stroke
models? The redundancy of two motors is valuable, although it's
going to be a while before we know how these 8000+ rpm motors do over
the long haul.

I wouldn't consider the older, twin two strokes. Gas hogs, and PWC
two stroke motors do tend to eat themselves prematurely.
