Default Huge Ca. reservoir not mapped?

Not sure why, but I will let you in on a very interesting fact, good one for
all you conspiracy theorists out the

While working on a hydrographic survey in SE Alaska a few years back, one of
the engineers was contracting to survey (multi-beam surface as well as sub
surface survey) many of the reservoirs around the country.

Turns out these clean water supplies are being bought up by private
individuals.

They will own a substantial amount of the nations fresh water reservoirs
very soon according to this individual.

It is also thought that these water holes are portals for UFO's held in the
earths magma. :-) LOL

Detailed mapping for New Melones lake, the 5th largest man-made
reservoir in California, isn't available for any GPS/ fishfinder units
that I can find. Anyone have a clue why? All the other big bass
reservoirs in Ca are mapped with detail and New Melones has
tournaments pretty much year round. The original dam was built in
1926, then a larger dam was built starting in 1966. Could this be the
reason? Could the fact that it's a (water) airport have anything to do
with it?

I've read that Navionics does some of their own mapping. Is this true?
Does requesting a new lake be added to existing products via their web
site work? Tried to sort all this out using google with no luck.
Appreciate any info offered.
