While those comments don't really deserve a response, I'll stoop to
respond anyway.

It's hardly acceptable for anyone to commit crimes and other immoral acts
that affect others. Such crimes and acts have victims, and there are laws
prohibiting them. But gays commit no crimes and have no victims, only
willing participants who don't see themselves as commiting immoral acts.
You may find homosexuality immoral, but they don't. And as long as no
laws prohibit their activities, they are free to continue, despite your
protestations. Murderers, rapists, child predators, thieves, and such are
not free to continue, despite the tendency of liberal court decisions
which would seem to indicate otherwise.

I may never understand the emotions felt by gays, but I have never had
any problem with them or their lifestyles, provided they, like
heterosexuals, keep it behind closed doors. Gays do no harm to society,
AIDS notwithstanding, and they do benefit society in the respect that
they don't procreate. Zero population growth was a great idea 50 years
ago, and it's an absolute necessity now if humankind plans to exist--or
at least have a reasonable chance at an acceptable lifestyle--a couple
hundred years from now. Perhaps we need more gays, and less straights
breeding like rodents.

Gay's do no harm to society? You've got to be kidding. What about 1)
AIDS
got started spreading big time because of homosexual male anal sex
habits.

The vast majority of AIDS cases are spread heterosexually. Do a google
search of AIDS in Africa.

2) They also spread hepatitis C

So do IV drug abusers. But neither druggies nor gays spread it to you.
So why are you bitching? Aren't you pleased that many of them die of the
disease?

3) They are trying to pervert the meaning of
the word *marriage*

BFD. What possible damage to society would that have? While it might
assault your own personal sensibilities, it won't have any overriding
impact on society as a whole.

4) They set a very bad and confusing example for children

Homosexuality is reality. Are you planning to shelter kids in order to
keep them from learning about an existing part of the world? There is no
evidence that gays promote homosexuality in kids to the point of
converting those who might otherwise become hetero.

5) They refuse to keep their sex habits to themselves.

This is my biggest complaint against the gay community. Gay pride days,
with their obscene parades, is a problem, but should be dealt with
legally, in the same manner that hetero displays of sexual behavior are.

6) They're constantly
*in your face* with their sick moral behavior.
