You would be better off trashing the sail and buying a new one.
Probably. But then I wouldn't be able to tell people, "original
sails".
A boat with original sails is kewler don't you think?
No. It detracts from the 120 dollars the boat and sails are worth.
You can make enough in one night too buy new sails ....

YECH!! I need to get my mind cleaned of the mental picture of ADN
earning $500 a night. Joe, you owe me a large extremely high proof
drink for that . . .
I think from the deliberate misinterpretation and willfull ignorance
*and* the suddern familiarity with sailmaking, if it isnt old ADN then
its someone who trained under him [and doesn't that make a nice mental
picture for you to contemplate :-) Better take something for nausea
and quickly . . .]
There is only ONE way the OP can prove (s)he's not Neil. A picture,
clothes on, sitting down sewing that sail.
Well it was good for light entertainment while it lasted but Nellen,
you're well busted.
For anyone else who's got a POS sail like that, You *can* fix it as I
described but you'd have to be a moron to want to. *Far* easier to
earn minimum wage cleaning truck stop urinals untill you've saved
enough to buy a new one. I'd only consider it if we were dismasted
and drifting and it and the spinny pole were our only hope of making a
*distant* landfall, then I'd say *no* *way* and settle for ropeing the
luff with some kevlar cord (I always keep some on board) or a length
of Vectran then using it *as* *is*.
Hate to say it but..told you so....
Well it was easier than beliving the current crop of politicians of
*whatever* party, and its provoked ADN into blowing his cover :-)
Anyway, its drawn the *real* ASA gang out of the woodwork.
I wonder if the Pau's sails need any attention. Its been, what, *five*
years since she was commissioned. Remember, a stitch in time saves nine.
