Not boating but a great show.

I love it, *asskisser showing his ignorance once again. The ONLY thing more
expensive here is housing... most folks don't get that little tidbit. Many
things as you say Bill, are less expensive.
I live in one of the nicer areas of San Jose. That also happens to be the
city ranked as the safest of cities in the US with a pop of 500,000 or
more. The weather here can't be beat. Not too hot, and not too cold. The
rainy season is only 5 months long, and it usually doesn't rain much
anyway during those 5 months. I never have to worry about a
camping/fishing trip getting rained out in the summer. Oh yeah, summer,
nice dry 80 degree heat with the occasional heat spell... still dry
though. When the sun goes down, so do the temps... even on the hottest
days. Good sleeping weather every night. Boy, I miss that humidity on the
east coast. The ice and snow are missed as well.
When I want to go to the beach, I drive 40 minutes over the hill to Santa
Cruz. When I want to ski, I drive 3 hours to Tahoe... some of the best
skiing in the country. I learned to ski on ice on the east coast, so
anything else is a huge pleasure to me.
Hell, I won't even get into boating with the lakes, delta, and ocean in
such close proximity.
Yeah... It really sucks in this crime ridden area where I have NEVER once
have locked my front door...
Ooops, one more thing, wait till *assy has to buy lemons next month after
our little cold snap. I covered MY lemon tree in MY back yard. My fruit is
just fine. I'll just pick mine for free while he's paying over 2 bucks
each for his. My avocado tree was taken care of as well. LOL!
I was born in New England, and lived there until I was 24 (I'm 45 now).
Beautiful country, but the absolute ****s for weather. I did my time, and
I'll NEVER go back. ;-)
Man, he's a putz.

I must have that poster in the kill-bin. Bill, you and I both know,

Yup,
my house with postage stamp back yard is worth almost One Million
Dollars
(most being equity at this point), I wonder what a house with 10 times
my
lot size is worth in hotlanta?
Shhhh... let everyone think the Bay Area sucks... we really don't want
anymore immigrants do we? :-

What you fail to understand is that the cost of living there is ALSO 10
times what it is here, so your value is no more than mine. My in-laws
house is also worth close to a million. They are considering selling
and moving here. Partly because they've visited enough to know the love
it here, and partly to get out of that crime riddled sewer. Our kids
actually get to play outside. My kids walk through the woods, by
themselves to a friends house. Almost unheard of in the east bay.
Maybe where your in-laws live, but most of Pleasant Hill is nice. sure
there are bad places, just as there are real bad places in Atlanta.
People come and also leave. Some can not handle the life style, others
can not afford life here. Costs more as more people want to live here
than in Georgia. Nicer weather, nicer terrain. Cost of living is not
10x. Houses may be 5x, but lots of other costs are the same or lower.
Live where you want. But do not knock others areas because you are
ignorant or jealous.
My lemon tree is to big to cover. but the Blood Orange tree is in a pot and
is moved under a covered arbor.
