I guess I finally managed to shut Old Tom up :-)

Indeed. The shadow of the chainplate for the starboard shroud would indicate that the sun was above and slight to the
right of the boat. "Ellen's" head is shadowed on her left shoulder, indicating the sun was above and substantially off
to the left in the photo of her.
Duh, there ain't any shadow of the chainplate. The line you see is string hanging
down from the bimini that's rolled up. You can tell the sun was almost straight
up and it was around two oclock so it was a little to the west. Just the way
the shadows go. And about the only shadow you can see is from the rub rail
on the hull. Look how bright the sun is on the sail right above my head. Notice
how the bottom part of the mainsail is in it's own shadow. I'm sitting right
under it or my back and shoulders are. Some of it's shadow is on my shoulders.
A very poor cut and paste job, Neal. About on par with that phony shot of the 757 about to hit the WTC.
Your full of it.... :-o~ Just a nice snapshot and you gotta make some conspiracy out
of it.
Cheers,
Ellen
