Imagine what might happen if, God forbid, the senator's health worsens
and he slips into a coma. And then, after consulting with doctors and
relatives, and much deliberation, his wife decides to pull the plug.
Will the conservative Republicans pass emergency legislation to
prevent this?

From the sound of it, Ellen is ready to pull the plug now, even
though he's talking.
