I beleive Jake's Landing was it. We had a house on Old Cherokee road in

weather.. ahhh but life moved us on once again. :-)

Ah, an old NCR guy. They offered me a position in SC after I finished my
degree and was working in Calif for NCR. Decided I liked CA better and
changed jobs. Would have taken a job at Rancho Bernardo.

Not exactly on topic, but two of the best transceivers I've ever owned
were made by a subsidiary of NCR - Signal One. My Dad had one to
evaluate for the ARRL and ended up buying it - a CX-7 and he gave it
to me when he bought a CX-11.

I miss that radio. :)

NCR made the first personal rescue beacons for the fliers in Viet Nam.
Worked great, but were signal only and the VC would trigger them to set up
ambushes. So they were changed to 2 way radios later.
