I spoke to a couple of guides who were launching and actually hooked
up with one who had an open date for the next day - great guy, the
fishing was really good too - I was surprised.

Pontoon boats seem to be a biggie with the guides on that lake. Is
that the same way down Moultrie/Marion?

I don't know, I've never been out with a guide. A couple of my
friends have been striper fishing with guides on Murray. They said
the guides used big center consoles. That's what I see out there the
most, but there are probably some that use pontoons as well.

Some buddies of mine once hired a striper guide on Murray. There was
four of us and we each caught 2 fish they all seemed to be around 10-15
lbs. Basically I have never fished for striper and so we were there to
learn how to do it. Our guide said if thats what you are paying for
thats what I give ya. Thus he showed us how to troll and use lead core
line. Plus top water techniques, and how to figues out where they are
schooling..
