Go to http://www.yandina.com/troll24info.htm and scroll down to the
schematics. You would use Schematic B. The advantage of this system
is the batteries charge in parallel so you can charge them from the
outboard motor or any standard 12 volt automobile style charger. You
don't need a 24 volt charger or a dual output charger.
A big advantage is your two deep cycle batteries remain in parallel as
they are now when the trolling motor is not running. It is fully
automatic and comes with an unlimited warranty.
What would be even better is if you actually read my post and answered what
I asked. All you managed to do is try and sell me something that I don't
even have a need for.

It seems to me that Andina's product is an easy, convenient, and safe
solution to your problem. Would it be better if I suggested her
product?
Another solution would be to connect the negative of your added
battery to the existing 12 volt bus - then you have 24 volts between
the existing negative and the positive of the added battery. However,
you will need to add another 12 volt charger to charge the added
battery.
