I'm looking for a compromise boat which seems to be an impossible task
leaving me with either (1) having a boat custom built which would be
ridiculous in terms of cost or (2) buying one or the other.

To date, other than a GB, I haven't found a cruiser that I liked.

I'm not a slow boat to China type, Mrs. Wave is.

This is easy... buy one of each.
If you're selling off half of New England, a few hundred thousand shouldn't
matter much.
