You probably failed the qualification test for civil servant jobs.

Never took the test. Went to work in the high tech computer world when I
was 19, and company paid for my degree. Then spent a lot of years in the
high paid Silicon Valley. So I get to have a nice truck, nice house, and
nice boat.
