I was always under the impression that schnapps is the generic term
for clear brandies distilled from fermented fruits.

Brandy is made from grape wine and some is made from the fermented
juices of fruits other than grapes. It's a post fermentation process.

Single malt whiskey is made from malted barley, with no other grain
products or other fermentables. Blended whiskeys are self
explanatory.

So with that in mind, how is schnapps whiskey?

Yeah, Kevin has a reading comprehension problem......insisting that
schnapps was whiskey despite the fact that whiskey requires being aged
in oak barrels.....a simple fact kevin could never comprehend.
