Jon,
I can't give you a reason and I was against the invasion but I will not
apologize for getting rid of Saddam and ending the "No Fly Zones with
their rockets, I can't say Bush didn't lie but I don't blame or
apologize for ****e & Sunni killings.
I want us out of Iraq but I do want it done in as humanely way as
possible and I don't have an answer
I'm not asking you to apologize for the crappy way the Bush's treated the
Iraqis both in the past and now. No planes of ours were shot down in the No
Fly Zones, btw. There's no disputing that Bush the First LIED to the shiias
after the first Gulf War. That's a fact.
Here are the choices for getting out of Iraq.
1) We leave as soon as humanly possible. 100K innocent Iraqis die by ethnic
violence.
2) We stay the course and/or increase the troops to the now proposed 160K
level. 100K innocent Iraqis dies by ethnic violence, plus another couple of
1000 US troops, plus another 20K US troops are maimed, plus we give even
more fuel to the islamic terrorists to turn the mostly peaceful muslim
populations of the world against us.
All of the significant generals including the guy in charge of the Army
think we should not send more troops and they can not be sustained there for
very long, and that the Army is stretched to the breaking point now.
Most experienced diplomats are convinced that we're making the situation
worse by our very presence.
All of the significant generals think that there is no diplomatic solution,
rather that it is a military situation without a military solution.
I pick #1.
