Default Why live aboard sailors live longer.

I have a vacuum system in my basement that sucks the air and
traps the radon gas , it then pumps it into a pressure tank.
When the tank is full I hook it up to my gas BBQ outback.
Works like a charm.

One reason sailors who live aboard their boats live

longer is they aren't living with radon gas.
Radon gas seeps up out of the ground and fills up your

basement and gets into the other rooms in
your house. Radon gas comes from decaying radioactive ores

in the ground. No radon gas gets into
boats because the hull keeps it out even if some should

come bubbling up from the water.
Radon gas can cause some houses to be condemned

because it gets so strong. Who knows how
much cancer is caused by radon instead of cigarette

smoking? When I spend a weekend in Elle Niņo
I feel much safer than at home possibly breathing radon

gas. I wonder if there are any studies that
show radon makes people retarded. It could explain some of

the posts here. :-)

Cheers,
Ellen
