I do not like the militarization of our country at all.

It's a

No, I'll stay here and change it from within by legal

means. You seem
like the type to believe that if we had F-22's, Ospreys,

JSF, DDX
things would have gone much better in Iraq. A large

military is no
substitute for good policy, good diplomacy and good

intelligence.
Military action is the result of failed policy and not

just short term
policy. The habitual use of force on foriegn countries

actually
weakens our country. It shows no long range vision, no

workable
solutions and no consideration for others. Yeah, the US

did topple
Hussien's government, but failed on the nation building

front. It
isn't the military that failed in Iraq, we have the best

and plenty of
it, it is policy, diplomacy and intelligence that has

failed. Maybe it
is time the military got trimmed a bit so we can build up

on the
intelligence and diplomacy front. Does the Air Force

really need a
gold course on every base while the marines sleep in the

mud?

How long will America continue to lead the world as a

model of liberty
and tolerance when people such as you at the mere mention

of any
"anti American" criticism call for expulsion of those

individuals from
the country? Why are you so intolerant of people with

opinions just a
bit different than yours? Are you that insecure? Why must

you resort
to such black/white ultimatums?

I do not like the militarization of our country. I do not

like the
suppression of civil liberties. I do not like holding

people for long
periods of time without due process. I resent seeing

ordinary
Americans treated with the suspicion that they are guilty

of some
crime or are about to perpetrate some act of terrorism.

Next we will be building a wall, not to keep people out,

but to keep
them in.
