Nonsense. There simply aren't enough outboards in existence, and their
use is too infrequent, for this to constitute a "major" source of
pollution.
Now, now, Dave. You're not getting the "Big Picture", as they used to call
the Army's propaganda TV show, here.
Anything a CONSUMER uses, no matter how infrequently, no matter that it
never leaks a cc of any gas, liquid or solid into the air, ground, water,
or even himself....Anything a CONSUMER uses...is responsible for all the
pollution on the planet, the hole in the ozone layer over Antarctica, the
orbit changes of all the planets, the 11-year sunspot cycle and pulsations
of the sun.
Conversely, anything CORPORATIONS do or the MILITARY does, like the immense
nuclear waste zone of the Savannah River Plant in Aiken, SC;...the immense
smoke stacks at fossil fuel power plants;...nuclear waste from the nuke
plants;....chemical and environmental pollution from factories in the last
250 years.....NONE of that has any effect, whatsoever, on the air, water,
land, rising temperatures, rising seas, melting ice caps, vast wastelands
in many countries, whatsoever!
Just ask any Neocon in power with vast holdings in oil, manufacturing or
utility stocks.
It's all YOUR FAULT! Damn YOU!...and me....and all those dirty *******s
with single cylinder, carb'd, premix gassed, 2-stroke outboards!
