Hi all.
I have recently bought this boat.
I believe it is a 1970'3 Cleopatra. 23 foot GRP cruiser with Perkins 4.108
inboard diesel engine driving a Volvo Penta 270 leg.
The general condition of the boat is poor, and it is my intention to breathe
some life into this old girl.
The hull is sound, no sign of damage or major repair.
The engine has not been run for 2 years, but the last owner swears it is was
fine.
The leg seems fine with new propeller.
The majority of the work needed is in the timber reinforcing of the deck and
cabin area.
Windows have not been sealed for some time, and water damage has destroyed
most of the plywood frame which runs around under the decking, leaving the
GRP decking itself too weak to support the weight of itself or of anyone
attempting to stand on it.
The boat is at this time standing in a friends driveway not far from my
home, and I am looking forward to starting work on her.

I have searched for many hours, looking for information about this type of
boat, any manufacturer info and data, and I really do need to know the
weight of this boat.
The trailer the boat is sitting on is also in poor condition. It is a very
heavy 4 wheel trailer with large wheels. The bearings on all wheels feel
like they no longer exist, the tyres are cracked and look like they are
about to split open, and in my opinion, the trailer is no more than scrap
metal.

So if anyone out there can supply any information about this type of boat,
or point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful.
Also, if anyone has a suitable trailer for sale, I may well be interested.
