For years, I have worn the Rockport M5106 boat shoe, which they have
now discontinued. Their new line of shoes are oil tanned and are *not
nearly* as rugged as the old models. Additionally, I'm not dying to
buy "Made in [Communist] China" apparel.... so,

does anybody have recommendations for a rugged, yet comfortable boat
shoe? TIA.....

Crocs. ;-)

Yup. I have two pair of Crocs. Great for wading into the salt water.
Soon though they will be relegated to 'slipper' status once the snow
builds up on the ground.

PCCR shoes for boating? A variation of rubber and plastic.

Can you say sweaty and bacteria holding?

No thanks.

A lot of the nurses now wear them around the local hospital.
Stated advantage is they can be thrown in the washer to keep them fresh.
Of course, it helps if you wash your feet on a regular basis.

And gosh knows all you folk in the Great White North need to do that -
what with wearing swampers all the time. :)

To help get the stink out of sandals and boat shoes or sneakers. Soak in a
Listerine solution.
