How'd you do on the back nine?
ROTFL!!!!!
That *wasn't* that funny. And, I'm one who has a sense of humor. He knows
I'm a new golfer, and he's simply saying things to ruin what little
motivation for the game I have left.
Sounds like you'll give it up soon. The only reason to golf is to
socialize, and fool yourself that you're getting good exercise.
You can socialize at the corner bar with a better class of people,
know with certainty you're not exercising, and get a buzz to boot.

I've heard several folks imply there's no exercise value in golf. If not,
then why am I tired after walking 18 holes?
I was joking about the exercise, and know it's better exercise than
plenty of other activities. Heck, OJ Simpson, probably the most
famous golfer in the world, is in pretty good shape for his age.
When my golfer pals mention a round I usually ask them if they ran
into OJ. Unless they're raving about how beautiful the course was.
Than I ask them if they had a problem getting the greens chemicals
off their shoes. So you can see I'm pretty neutral about golf.
Of course, I could just be jealous.
