Cape Horn wind steering
I am also interested in hearing about this, and seeing pictures if
anyone has it installed on a Beneteau 393, or similiar style transom,
including pictures of the steering quadrant connections.
I was reading about it yesterday, I think Blue Water Sailing Magazine
maybe, and went to their web site. It's very hard to understand from
the web-site how it connects to the steering, they could really use a
better web-master and some much high resolution pictures. Also, some
things are labeled wrong. They show a sample with it installed on a
Beneteau Oceanis 390, which is actually some other boat. Maybe there
customers could help them out and send in better pictures !
I am attracted to the features of working in light winds, taking less
space on the transom with much of the parts kept inside, being able to
work with an arch, being able to add an emergency rudder to the
mechanism, and it's proven to work installed off center.
