four miles long and traverses some farmer's land that I know well.

confines of the posted land.
Anyway, I parked my car and started walking the stream bed, I noticed
that the closer to the road, the more tree stands there were. I must
have counted 15 tree stands in a space about 100 yards long and maybe
30 wide. The further I went back along the stream bed, the stands
started to thin out until I was about two miles in, only the
occasional stand and at the three mile mark, none. :)
What that proves, I don't know, but there is a point there somewhere.
