That's typical. Right or wrong, apathy is rampant here. This upcoming
election should demonstrate that nicely. I'm predicting that less than 30%
of the voting-age population bothers to vote.

IOW. Only 50% of eligible voters register, of those registered, only
about 50% bother to vote and only 51% or thereabouts actually voted
for Shrub.

Your figures may be slightly askew. About 70 to 80% of the *likely voting*
population has voted in critical presidential elections, according to the
last numbers I saw. The key is "likely voters." No point in including, for
example, Alzheimer's patients and the terminally apathetic in such figures.
