I work with a teacher who was a student and on the campus when the shooting
started. I've seen a pic of him hiding behind a Volkswagen during the
attack. Every year he does a seminar on "what it was like."
But of course, these are kids who don't believe the moon landings were
real, or genocide, or WWII for that matter. They think nothing happened
before they were born.

Not really. About 65% of those same kids, when polled, have no idea who
Cheney, Rumsfeld, or Hillary Clinton are, either. The fact that all three
are household words and have been for years notwithstanding, kids today are
too wrapped up in video games and TV shows like Survivor and American Idol
to be concerned with reality, or history. And Jay Leno and Dave Letterman
are their sole source of political and historical information.
