Default What's in the.......................

Don't know how to answer this very well but under the front seats of my
little Chris Craft, I ahve a generic 140 pc. tool set, with a goodly
range of screwdrivers. Vice-grips are a must. wire repair kit w.small
roll of 10 ga. and 14 ga. wire. big crescent wrench, hammer, ohm
meter, roll of duct tape, and roll of electrical tape. spare fuel
filter. And even though I've never needed to add any, I carry an extra
quart of motor oil. Oh yes. extra light bulbs for the trailer.

Plenty to do emergency stuff on a lowly Scorpion 169 w, 3.0L

........toolbox on your boat?

I carry over and beyond the basic tools plus a box of various stainless
steel hardware (screws, nuts, bolts, washers, etc), a spool of electrical
wiring and connectors/crimper, a 12v soldering iron and wire, a prop wrench
and replacement prop, an emergency belt as well as various engine fluids.

Sometimes none of these items will save you (as witnessed by my overheating
incident this summer). However, it is nice to know some basic emergency
repairs can be made and I don't have to bring tools to the boat when I work
on it.

So what is in your boat toolbox?
