As for weaker, that depends on whether the "window" material
is as strong as the hull, and how well it's fastened in place.
I guess if you assume that the "window" is of poor material
and improperly assembled, then yes.
Another possibility is that a poorly made "window" could
actually be a strong point in an even more poorly made hull.
